About Ms. Christie

Charlotte (Molly) Christie grew up in Morgantown, WV and began studying violin at age eight. She is an accomplished strings teacher and performer, dedicated to nurturing a love for music in all of her students. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Thomas Edison State College and a Master’s degree in violin performance from the West Virginia University School of Music where she also studied viola.


She discovered her passion for teaching early in her music studies and holds a Level 4 certification as a Suzuki violin and viola instructor. She specializes in teaching students 4 years old through high school. Driven by her love for introducing beginners to the world of violin and viola, Ms. Christie’s teaching approach focuses on developing solid technique, fostering enjoyment in playing, and building confidence in performing.


Ms. Christie’s teaching experience includes providing University instruction, teaching public school group and individual programs, serving as strings director at Moorestown Friends’ School, and coaching for Symphony in C Youth Orchestra. Alongside her teaching commitments, she has pursued a career in chamber music and orchestral playing.
